James K. P. Lee

James is the son of Ausburn Lee and Mary H. Stacy.  As far as we know, James was never married or had any children.

James' service record reveals that after enlistment on 26 Jan 1863 at Murfreesboro, he was mustered-in on 2 Aug 1863 at Carthage, Smith County. He was present for duty during all roll-calls. He was with the unit on patrol out of Sparta in Feb 1864 when he was killed in the Battle of Dug Hill. 

We have no information on where James is buried. Was his body recovered from the Dug Hill battle? Anyone having knowledge or oral tradition please contact me. Thanks.
